Freelance Employee Contract
This Freelance Employee Contract (“Contract”) is made and entered into as of the date of signing by and between TheTechJournalist (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) and the undersigned freelance employee (hereinafter referred to as “Freelancer”).
1. Scope of Work:
The Freelancer agrees to provide professional services as required by the Company. The specific tasks, deadlines, and deliverables will be discussed and agreed upon on a project-to-project basis.
2. Compensation & Payment Terms:
- The Company agrees to pay the Freelancer based on the following structure:
- Advance Payment: ₹1,000 upon signing this contract.
- Payment Schedule: Weekly payments will be made, deducting the ₹1,000 advance from the first paycheck.
- Freelance Developer: ₹500 per website.
- Freelance Writer: ₹500 per day.
- Payments will be processed via bank transfer, UPI, or any agreed-upon method.
- The Freelancer must submit an invoice at the end of each week for processing.
3. Contract Duration & Renewal:
- This contract is valid until the completion of the agreed-upon project(s).
- The Freelancer is free to sign up for future contracts or ignore new offers from the Company.
- If a Freelancer declines a future contract, they will not be eligible to sign up for future projects with the Company.
4. Performance Evaluation & Termination:
- The Company reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if the Freelancer’s work is deemed unsatisfactory.
- In the event of termination, the Company will settle any outstanding payments for completed work.
- If the Freelancer successfully delivers quality work and meets expectations, they will be entitled to priority consideration for future projects.
5. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure:
- The Freelancer agrees not to share any Company-related content, business strategies, or policies on their personal websites, social media platforms, or with third parties.
- Discussions regarding future company plans and investments must remain confidential.
- Violation of confidentiality terms may result in immediate termination and legal action.
6. Communication & Availability:
- The Freelancer agrees to be available for communication via email or phone to discuss project updates, revisions, and any related matters.
- Unresponsiveness or failure to communicate in a timely manner may result in contract termination.
7. Intellectual Property Rights:
- All work completed by the Freelancer remains the sole property of TheTechJournalist.
- The Freelancer cannot republish, reuse, or resell any content or code developed for the Company.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution:
- This contract shall be governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes arising out of or relating to this contract shall be resolved through arbitration in Hyderabad, Telangana.
9. Agreement Acceptance:
By signing this contract, both parties agree to the terms outlined above.
